Aircraft carrying human cadaveric organs for transplant may now get top priority to take off and land on a priority basis to facilitate quick transportation of organs. It could be exempted from X-ray screening to avoid radiation exposure. Priority take off and landing alone can save more than 20-25 precious minutes, says a report (Times, Dec 12). Fixing norms, it also outlines the procedure in relation to the labelling, packaging and storage of organs, etc.
